Step-by-Step Guide: Installing Terraces with Adjustable Supports

Materials You'll Need:

* Concrete slabs * Stelzlager (adjustable supports) * Feinsteinzeug tiles * Kieswaben (gravel grids) * Frost-resistant terrace tiles * Gravel * Broom

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Base

* Lay out concrete slabs as the foundation for the stelzlager. * Adjust the spacing based on the size of the Feinsteinzeug tiles. * Lay the concrete slabs in rows, ensuring they are level.

Tip: Use a 35mm joint spacing when laying the concrete slabs to avoid chipping at the edges.

2. Install the Stelzlager

* Place stelzlager on top of the concrete slabs according to the manufacturer's instructions. * Ensure that the spacing between the stelzlager does not exceed 40 cm to prevent breakage and accidents. * Keep the vertical clearance beneath the tiles to less than 6 cm.

3. Place the Kieswaben and Terrace Tiles

* Install kieswaben on top of the stelzlager. * Use frost-resistant terrace tiles and space them appropriately. * Fill the kieswaben with gravel and spread it evenly with a broom.

4. Install Regular Terraces

* For terraces using regular-shaped tiles made of concrete or cut natural stone, a split-bed installation is recommended. * Estimate the material requirements by considering the size of the terrace (e.g., 15 square meters requires approximately...).

Note: Follow the specific manufacturer's instructions for the type of terrace you are installing.
