Bob Cole, Longtime Austin Radio Host, Recovering From COVID-19
Host of KOKE in the Morning Battling Virus

Longtime Austin radio personality Bob Cole, the host of KOKE in the Morning, has tested positive for COVID-19, according to a statement released by the station. Cole, along with Jason Nassour and Eric Raines, is a founding member of Genuine Austin Media, a local multimedia company.
Cole joined the KOKE team in 1979 and has been a fixture on the Austin radio scene ever since. He is known for his quick wit, sharp sense of humor, and deep knowledge of the Austin music scene.
Cole's diagnosis comes amid a surge in COVID-19 cases in Austin and throughout the state of Texas. The station said in its statement that Cole is currently recovering at home and is expected to make a full recovery.
