Former Bayern Munich Manager Departs After Poor Nations League Results

Flick Departs after 18 Months in Charge

Germany has sacked manager Hansi Flick just nine months before the start of their home European Championship. The decision comes after a poor run of results in the Nations League, which saw Germany finish bottom of their group.

Flick, who joined Germany after an 18-month spell in charge of Bayern Munich, has won only four of his 15 games in charge. Germany has failed to win any of their last six matches, including a 3-3 draw with England and a 1-1 draw with Hungary.

The German Football Association (DFB) has not yet named a replacement for Flick. However, it is believed that the DFB is considering appointing former Bayern Munich manager Jupp Heynckes as interim manager until the end of the season.
